The names below filled in as host in the absence of Garry or (a single time) Steve. Special episodes in which Garry played on the panel while various panelists hosted are not included here. Guest hosts were more common in the early years, especially during Garry's summer vacations. Starting in 1958, with the advent of videotape, shows could be recorded in advance. Garry (and now even the panel) could take time off in the summer, and new shows would continue year-round without the need of a guest host. In fact, after 1958 there were no "guest" hosts at all. Either Henry (usually) or Betsy would fill in when Garry was absent. Starting in 1962, summer reruns became the norm.
