This fourth anniversary show is presented without a studio
audience. The cast and crew appear on
stage for a family portrait, all wearing large cards around their necks which identify
their positions, everyone from “panelist” to “stage manager” to “stand-in”. Among those singled out by name as they are
seen on camera are production assistant Adraia Koe, wardrobe manager Blanche
Hunter, producer Mark Goodson (partner Bill Todman was out with chicken pox),
stage manager Joe Papp and announcer John Cannon. Others are clearly visible on camera, including producer Allan Sherman. Hunter is a long-time CBS staffer who at one
point handled makeup for all the CBS shows in New York. She is also one of the few African Americans
on staff.
They all take their seats in the theatre as Garry presents clips
from past shows at a rapid pace.
Garry gets some of the dates below wrong on the air. They have all
been corrected here for accuracy.
