Over 100 sailors on the USS Leyte: "We're celebrating our ship's 10th anniversary with the largest birthday cake ever baked"
The cake used 7500 eggs and took three days to bake.  It weighed in at a ton and a half.  Everybody in the audience got a slice.  The Leyte was launched in August 1945 but was commissioned on April 11, 1946, exactly ten years ago today. The Leyte was an aircraft carrier which saw some service in the Korean War but mostly patrolled in the Atlantic and Mediterranean.  She would be decommissioned in 1959 and eventually sold for scrap. A clip from the crew's appearance can be seen in the fourth anniversary program ( E192 )

Special Guest Judith Anderson will appear sadder with each question.
An acclaimed and prolific actress on stage, in films and on television, the Australian-born Anderson would receive the honor of Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 1960.  Thereafter, she would regularly be billed as Dame Judith Anderson.  She continued to work steadily throughout her career, including some late-in-life choices that would seem beneath someone of her stature and talent.  Those would include a cameo in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) and a three year stint on the soap opera Santa Barbera.
