CPO Norman Weiss from Willow Grove, Pennsylvania is traveling the world at his own expense: “To visit my 10 foster children”
Chief Weiss contributes more than half his Navy paycheck, some $150 a month, to support children in Greece, Italy, Korea, Vietnam, Hong King, the Philippines and Columbia.  Himself a foster child, his efforts are done through a worldwide organization called Foster Parents Plan, known today as Plan International.  See E409 from 1960 for another example of fostering children through this organization.

Seven children of Secret production staffers are going to play a Christmas carol on: “Alarm clocks”
They perform “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”

Captain Margaret Steinhoff of the Salvation Army brings a page of unusual markings which turns out to be sheet music for tambourines.  She is the leader of the Timbrelettes, a dozen or so women who play the instrument.  The Salvation Army band eventually joins them for a medley of Christmas songs.

In a fairly awkward final segment, four more children of staffers, these very young, come out and attempt to describe next week’s guest star Durward Kirby, who “just happens” to be in the studio (his show would be recorded the same evening).
