Orville White from NYC: “I’m the fellow who buzzes the buzzer on I’ve Got A Secret (and I’m doing it now)”
Mr. White did sound effects for many CBS radio and television programs.  The panel rarely arrived for the show much more than a few minutes before airtime, so it isn’t too surprising that they wouldn’t know the crew, especially one who isn’t visible to them during the program.  Still, since Mr. White had to be one of the few African Americans on staff and had been identified by name on at least one earlier show ( E115 ) the producers were taking a bit of a chance.  Bill is the only one who recognizes him fully, and passes.

Special Guest Emmett Kelly: “I’m looking for a needle in a haystack”
Kelly, the great pantomimic clown of circus fame, performs the idiom literally as Garry answers the panelists’ questions.  The panelists are not only blindfolded but are told to hold their noses.  They nevertheless quickly recognize the sound of rustling hay and quickly home in on the Secret.

The Dorssers family of Blenheim (Ontario), Canada: “We’re all getting married in the same wedding ceremony” (April 28)
Wacky matrimony.  Four sisters (Dora, Christine, Wilma and Grada) and two brothers (Cornelius and Andre) in this Dutch Canadian family all got married on the same day because their father didn’t want to take time away from his farm to attend six separate services.  After the segment, their fiancées come on stage, and Faye tries to match the couples.  Garry and the panel present each of the couples with a ridiculously huge assortment of small, practical gifts, such as brooms, pails and clothespins.
