Hugh (piano) and Brother Matthew (saxophone) perform here with a jazz combo
that includes “Wild Bill” Davison on cornet, Carl Kress on guitar, Trigger
Alpert on bass and Garry (of course) on drums.
Brother Matthew was known as Boyce Brown before joining the order. This unusual collaboration would result in an

John J Walsh from

childbirth. The latest pair were born on
March 16.
Special Guest
William Bendix has brought four champion laughers with him
The
laughers are Joan Howard, Godfrey Cambridge, Gene Brill and [Bill Camel]. They
laugh on a secret cue from Bendix during the questioning. All are unknowns
here. Howard is the daughter of Moe
Howard of The Three Stooges and would write books about her father and the
slapstick team. Cambridge would become
an extremely successful actor and stand-up comic of the 1960s and early 70s.
Brill had a brief stand-up career. [See
