Ted Grevers from Battle Creek, Michigan: “I’m half the man I was
three years ago…I lost 236 pounds”
Grevers is a
private detective nicknamed ”The Fatman.”
He’s at 245 pounds here, down from a high of 481, but his weight would
continue to fluctuate. A 1967 newspaper
profile had him at 360 pounds. For a
visual, Grevers brings in some of his old clothes to show, for example, that
Betsy, Bess and Garry can all three fit inside one of his suit jackets.
[Karen, Bobby and Ricky Cole] from Harlingen, Texas: “We are
related to Betsy Palmer…our dad’s father’s brother’s daughter…is married to a
man whose…mother’s sister’s son…is married to Betsy”
The kids
worked all this out themselves, and contacted the show about their distant
connection.
Special guest Joan Bennett has extreme
close-up photographs of objects otherwise quite familiar to the panel, such as
Bess’ dimple, Bill’s glasses and Betsy’s cat.
The panel tries to identify them.
