Vernon and Eli Miljevich from Wakefield, Michigan: “We are the log-sawing champions of the world”
The brothers are lumbermen by profession in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  Once again, the show takes some liberty in calling them “world champions”.  The brothers have each been winning competitions for more than a decade, but almost exclusively in demonstrations and festivals in and around their hometown.  In their on stage demonstration, they are able to saw a log faster than an electric chain saw.

Mildred McClendon from Belton, Illinois: “Someone returned a library book to me…It was 81 years overdue”
Mrs. McClendon is the librarian at the Benton Public Library.  The book was Pretty Mrs. Gaston, written in 1874 by John Esten Cooke, an author better known today for his Civil War biographies.  A local man found the book in his attic, and returned it to the library on one of their “fine free” days.  At the going rate of ten cents a day, the fine for the overdue book would have come to $2,955.10.

Special guest Tom Poston, dressed in top hat and tails, brings a newspaper article naming Garry as one of the worst dressed men in America.  To remedy this, Poston will clothe Garry in items borrowed from men named among the best dressed on the same list. (Jack Paar’s shirt, Craig Stevens’ vest, Hugh Downs’ gloves, etc)  Poston is a regular panelist on To Tell the Truth.
