Major General Webster Anderson from Philadelphia: “I eliminated watch pockets from all uniforms” 
At the start, Garry explains that General Anderson made a suggestion to the Defense Department that saved the armed forces $1.5 million.  In addition, he has just been named Quartermaster General for the US Army.  The Quartermaster Corps is responsible for developing, producing, procuring and maintaining the general supplies needed by the military.  Garry gives General Anderson a pocket watch as a gift.   


Special Guest Victor Borge: “I’m going to conduct an orchestra for…piano, sneezers and coughers” 
Borge is joined on stage by dozens of audience members, divided into groups which also include “shushers” and “snorers.”  Norman Paris plays piano.  Borge’s entertaining segment takes up more than half the program.
