Renee is a beauty queen who designed
her versatile layers of fabric. She entered her talent for sewing, and for modeling
her creation, as her official “talent” in the 1960 Miss South Carolina pageant. She didn’t win the contest, but a full-page
photo story about her design gained her the attention of the Secret staff.
Annie Fargé and Monsieur [LaSalle] from Paris: “He taught me how to
speak English”
Fargé is a French actress, currently
starring in the CBS sitcom Angel (1960-1961). In it, she plays a lovably
scatterbrained young newlywed in America who struggles with the language and
culture of hew new country. Despite kind
reviews for Fargé, the show only lasted a single season. After a handful of guest spots on American
series, she returned to France where she continued her acting career and later
became a theatrical producer. Years
earlier, in France, M. LaSalle exchanged English lessons for acting lessons.
Special Guest Myrna Loy wants to prove

Betsy and Bess are in on the Secret, and hope that by laying on the
perfect attributes of a wife (intelligence, neatness, cheerfulness and
affection) a little thick, they can annoy Bill and Henry. Loy’s career as an actress began in silent
films of the 1920s and would reach into the 1980s. Her biggest fame was in the
1930s when she played half of the mystery-solving couple Nick and Nora Charles
in a series of films beginning with The
Thin Man (1934). Loy is appearing in
the movie Midnight Lace (1960).
