All three secrets have something to do with transportation.

Abbott Dugally from Los Angeles, California: “I pedaled a bicycle around the world (7 years- 75,000 miles)”
Dugally called his mode of transportation, which is shown after the game, “Suzie the Wonder Bike.”  It is a ten-speed, with fifteen pouches that could hold 150 pounds of gear.  He performs some of the acrobatic tricks he would do to earn money from passersby on his trip. Dugally wasn’t done with his long-distance biking.  He continued for another year or so after this appearance, racking up over 80,000 miles.

Special Guest Hugh O’Brian: “I’m going to attach a motor to my roller skates”
O’Brian straps a one-horsepower motor to his back.  The motor is attached to the drive shaft of one of the skates and is operated by a squeeze control held in his hand. (Also see E645 )

Moulton Taylor from Longview, Washington: “I flew to New York in this automobile…It converts into an airplane”
Taylor’s Aerocar features collapsible wings and a tail, which can be towed behind the automobile.  The plane is assembled during the game, and is an impressive sight.  Taylor would try for decades, into the 1970s, to make the Aerocar commercially viable, but those dreams never materialized.  Today some of his prototypes reside in aeronautic museums.
