Garry the Weatherman: “Welcome to this frozen edition here in New York City.  Very windy 31 degrees tonight.”

Mr. X: “I’m the youngest member of the United States Congress.”
Congressman John Dingell from Detroit, Michigan won a special election in 1955 to replace his late father in Congress, then won a full term in 1956.  At the time of this appearance, he is 30 years old.  He would eventually be reelected 29 times, serving more than 59 years in the House of Representatives, a record in American history.  Dingell announced his retirement in 2014 and died in 2019.  His seat in Congress is currently held by his wife.

Special Guest Tab Hunter: “I’m giving Bill Cullen a sun lamp treatment (Because he couldn’t go to Florida last week)”
Poor Bill stayed behind to attend to his other shows, which at the time include a daily NYC radio program as well as daily editions of The Price Is Right.  The good looking, clean-cut Hunter was a leading man during the 50s and 60s, all while hiding (though rumors were rampant) a closeted personal life.  He continued to work even after his matinee idol stage.  At the time of his Secret, Hunter was touring with The Spirit of St Louis (1957), a film in which he did not ever appear.  He had been recruited to appeal to young people and teach them about the real-life history behind the film.

J Francis Devlin and his daughters Susan and Judy, all from Baltimore: “We’re all World Badminton Champions”
“Frank” Devlin was a world champion badminton player for ten years between 1922 and 1931.  His daughters are the current world Doubles champions.  The sisters would continue to dominate the sport, winning ten Doubles titles together through 1966.  With singles titles and doubles titles with different partners, Judy (later Judy Hashman) would become the most decorated badminton player of her era.  The three demonstrate badminton on stage, eventually joined by the panel, Garry and Tab.
