Bruce Haack from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada: “I play music on people…I’m going to play a song on the panel”
Haack has electrical equipment that completes a circuit and creates a Theremin-like sound when he touches flesh (his hands) to properly wired flesh (the faces of the panelists, mostly Betsy).  Ted Pandel is Mr. Haack's partner and accompanist.  The two men, especially Haack, are pioneers in electronic music, responsible for everything from "way out" children's records to something darker called The Electric Lucifer (Columbia 1970). A documentary entitled Haack: The King of Techno would be released in 2004.  Both men would revisit the show in 1966 with a similar device ( E668 ), this time watching from the audience as Victor Borge playfully tried it out with attractive young models.

[Joe Latona] from New York: “Bill Cullen shaved off my beard on this show last week”
Now completely clean-shaven, Mr. Latona was one of the bearded gentlemen during Vic Damone’s segment the previous week ( E400 ).

Special Guest Carol Burnett models clothes taken from Bess and Betsy’s personal closets.  Garry reminds viewers, as he has before, that the gowns the women wear on the show are provided by fashion designers.  Burnett and Garry are about to start the third season of Garry’s variety show.  She would stay with Garry’s show through its fourth season (it would run for two more).  When she began her own legendary variety series in 1967, she retained a lot of the elements from The Garry Moore Show, and employed many of the same staffers.
