395     August 10, 1960 (Taped October 14, 1959)
Bill, Betsy, Henry, Bess

Last October 14, the show was preempted for a DuPont Show of the Month presentation.  They got together and recorded a Secret on that date anyway and are finally showing it ten months later.

[Joseph Casey] from Portland, Maine: “I’m going to hold a piano player on my shoulders…I’m going to hold a piano on my knees”
Mr. Casey is 67 years old and was a circus strongman in his youth.  The piano player is the show’s own Norman Paris.

Nathan Biegel from Brooklyn: “I won first prize in a needlepoint sewing contest”
Mr Biegel is a truck driver.

Special Guest Polly Bergen turns the table on the panel and asks them mildly revealing questions about themselves.  On hand to verify the responses are Bess’ daughter Barbara, Henry’s brother Roger von Ost, Betsy’s mother Marie Runick and Bill’s wife Ann.  Eleven-year-old Barbara would become the actress, writer and director Barra Grant.  Among her works is a 2018 off-Broadway play (Miss America’s Ugly Daughter) about her difficult relationship with her mother.
