Bill, Betsy, Henry, Bess

Gary opens the show with a recap of last week’s elaborate stunt and shows film of Henry leaving on a Pan Am jet for London.  Henry was supposed to return to the US with a goose dinner for one of last week’s contestants.  Instead, he’s the subject of the night’s first Secret.

Henry Morgan: “I couldn’t get the goose through U.S. Customs”
Henry is in character as his British alter ego “Googie” Morgan.

Mr. and Mrs. [Gadman] from Brooklyn: “We’re going to eat the last piece of our wedding cake tonight (It’s 25 years old)”
The Gadmans are celebrating their silver wedding anniversary.  It is a well-preserved fruitcake.  The couple saves a small piece for their 50th anniversary.

Special Guest Dana Andrews has New Year’s resolutions written by the studio audience as suggestions to the panelists.  He attempts to work those suggested resolutions into the answers to his questions.  Andrews is promoting his latest picture The Crowded Sky (1960).
