Mrs. Francis S. Loomis from Clarkston, Michigan: “I drove the
first car ever built in Detroit (in 1900)”
Mrs. Loomis drove a Curved Dash
Oldsmobile, and was the model for one of their early ads. Her husband Horace was an engineer at Olds
Motor Works, which actually had its origins in Lansing, Michigan in 1897. The popular Curved Dash reached the public
almost by accident when a fire ravaged the Olds factory in 1901, leaving other
prototypes destroyed. General Motors
purchased the company in 1908 and left the brand name intact for nearly a
century, finally discontinuing it in 2004.
Garry drives a functional replica of the Curved Dash around the
stage.
Mr. X and Mr. Y from Vancouver, British Columbia: “We are twins”
Vincent and Clarence Poulter look
nothing alike.
Special Guest Joan Bennett takes
personal items from the panel and hides them around the set. Each panelist gets to make a phone call, in
hopes that a friend is watching live and can tell them where their treasure is
hidden. A pay phone booth is on stage,
and Garry doles out dimes for the calls.
