Betty McCloud from Norfolk, Virginia: “I am going to lift a 205 pound weight…to set a new worlds record”
Mrs. McCloud is a beauty queen (a former Miss Norfolk) who wears a swimsuit and a sash onstage.  She makes the lift look easy, but Garry says it’s a record in her weight class, and that members of the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) are on hand to witness it.

George Schuster of Springville, New York: “I drove an automobile around the world…fifty years ago” (1908)
Schuster, who is 85 years old here, won the 1908 New York to Paris race in his Thomas Flyer.  The “Great Race” covered 22,000 miles, traveling westward around the globe, and took 169 days to complete. Six teams from four countries competed, and only three even finished the race.  The comedy film The Great Race (1965) would be very loosely inspired by this real-life event.

Special Guest Keenan Wynn: “I’m going to judge the panel’s acting…and give the winner a part in my new movie”
The “acting” that the panel is doing is asking their questions using the mannerisms of another panelist.  Wynn’s “judging” is a bit of a joke, since they had already decided Henry would be the winner.  Though the film is not mentioned until the following week, it is That Kind of Woman (1959) and indeed, Henry has an unbilled cameo in it.  Wynn does mention working with co-star Sophia Loren.
