Mrs. Vera Ward from Newport Harbor,
California: “I was Faye Emerson’s singing voice in a movie”
Mrs. Ward was known professionally as
Vera Van, and in addition to some credits of her own in film and radio, she
supplied Faye’s singing voice in Nobody
Lives Forever (1946). Van also taped
the singing voice for Paulette Goddard and Bette Davis in other films.
O.K. Smathers of Brevard, North Carolina,
