Hessie Donahue from Boston, Massachusetts: "I flattened John L Sullivan with one punch"
Hessie is female, and is 83 years old here.  She says the incident took place by accident at a staged exhibition in Arkansas in 1893.  Sullivan was the first boxing superstar and a cultural icon of the late 19th century.  Though no formal boxing titles existed during his fighting years, Sullivan is generally regarded as the last heavyweight champion of the bare-knuckle era, and, around 1882, the first world champion of gloved boxing.  Sullivan lost to "Gentleman" Jim Corbett in 1892 and thereafter toured the country performing exhibitions.

Special Guest Hedda Hopper
Hopper was famous, even infamous, for "Hedda Hopper's Hollywood," a weekly gossip column she wrote from 1938 until her death in 1966 at age 80.  She mentions her Secret appearance in her column a few days after this program, but doesn't reveal what her secret had been.
