Leonard Labaree from New Haven, Connecticut: “I’m wearing Ben Franklin's eyeglasses”
Dr. Labaree is a professor of history at Yale, and is an expert on Colonial America in general, and the life of Benjamin Franklin in particular.  He is the editor of an extensive collection of Franklin’s correspondence and other works.  After the game, a good chunk of the remaining show is given over to the life and accomplishments of Ben Franklin in celebration of his 250th birthday, which was yesterday.

Queenie the Elephant from Fairlee, Vermont: ”I am a pickpocket”
The baby elephant is part of Bill Green’s Rare Bird and Animal Farm, a family-owned roadside attraction in the small Vermont town.  Queenie was also trained to clean floors, play harmonica and even water ski, which she did for two winters in Florida.  The pachyderm started out as the pet of Green’s daughter Liz, who would perform with Queenie in shows.  Bill Green died in 1965 and the Farm closed a few years after.  Queenie died in 2011 at the age of 59.
