Bill, Audrey Meadows, Henry, Joan Bennett

Audrey is in for sister Jayne, who caught ill while rehearsing a play.

[Frank Palumbo] of Brooklyn, NY: “I pulled a tooth for the first time today (Dental Student)”
We can find no record of Mr Palumbo becoming a DDS.

Miss X: "I fed Joan Bennett her first baby bottle"
Mrs [Vera Sandville]'s name might have meant something to Joan (but certainly only to Joan), but some 43 years later, Joan does not recognize her early nursemaid on sight.  When told of the connection later, however, Joan warmly greets her on stage.  Mrs Sandville's hometown is not mentioned, but the Bennett family lived in Palisades Park, New Jersey in Joan's early years.

Special guest Gloria DeHaven: "I've just arranged the panel in alphabetical order"
The panel is originally seated as listed above, so all she did was put Joan in the first seat and have everybody else slide down one.  A silly and simplistic Secret becomes an entertaining segment, mostly thanks to the panel's questions, which might very well have been planted by the show staff. (Joan: "Is it that we've changed sexes?") DeHaven was a popular actress and singer most closely associated with the 40s and 50s.  Like many of her contemporaries, as a connection to the Golden Age of Hollywood she made frequent appearances on television later in her life.
