Alice and Barbara Rogers: “We have our triplet
sister under the desk”
Silly fun with ten-year-old siblings. The third young girl is named Carol (A-B-C). In lieu of cigarettes, Garry gives each girl
a piggy bank with a silver dollar inside.
Esther Katz of Dorchester, MS: “I had a baby
at a bridge game”
Mrs. Katz’s now four-year-old appears
at the end of the segment, and Garry gives her a doll.
Special Guest David Niven: “I’m sitting on a
cake of ice”
Niven plugs his new movie The Moon Is
Blue (1953), even briefly acknowledging the controversy surrounding it. The film was condemned by various decency
monitors for using words like “virgin,” “mistress,” “seduce,” and
“pregnant" in the script. Aside
from the dialogue it was a tame film, ridiculously so by today's
standards. Moore halfheartedly tries to
sell the gag of connecting Niven’s seat of ice and “the moon is blue,” but the
joke does not appear to land.
[Lee Adlerstein] of Brooklyn, NY: “I bought my marriage license today.”
Barely wacky
matrimony.
The show ends with a new segment in which the panel reveals personal
secrets about themselves. They are asked
about their earliest public performances, and all mention small parts from
childhood plays.
