Tom Joyner from Satellite Beach, Florida: “I caught a 370 pound fish…it took me 19 hours to land it”
On Monday (and Tuesday), August 17-18, 1964, 15-year-old Tom caught a stingray.  He never let go of the line for the entire ordeal, fortified with only liquids and a single ham sandwich.  A year earlier, Tom had landed a 310-pound shark.

Special guest Tony Randall reveals answers to questions the panelists were given earlier, and everybody tries to figure out which one gave each set of answers.  Simple but fun game.  Randall is appearing in the movie Fluffy (1965), a comedy in which he plays a professor trying to domesticate a wild lion.

Ralph Eames from Wakefield, Massachusetts: “My band consists of 16 drummers”
The band performs for historical societies and patriotic groups.  They perform a drum cadence here, all performers but Eames dressed in Colonial uniforms.  In 1937, a 19-year-old Eames appeared on The Major Bowes Amateur Hour, a hugely popular radio talent show of the day.  Eames’ passion for drums and drum making, especially within the historical context of the Revolutionary War, would be his life’s work.
