“Suzy”: “I’m one of the stars of the Folies Bergere” and “Suzy Jr”: “I’m her understudy”
The two terrier dogs are owned and trained by Paul Sydell of New York City.  The original Folies Bergere is a Paris music hall which in its prime hosted elaborate musical variety revues.  It was notoriously known for its nude dancing girls.  The Folies Bergere iteration in which Suzy performs is a Broadway show featuring all the spectacle of the French revue, with none of the nudity. It opened on June 2 and would run through November 14.  Sydell puts Suzy through some of her paces here.

Jim Goss from Chicago, Illinois: “I won Steve Allen for a day”
In August, Goss won a write-in contest on Steve’s syndicated late-night talk show and received Steve’s services as a piano player for an evening.  Steve performed for Goss and his guests at the Franklen House in Chicago, a popular dining establishment at the time.  The Franklen House would close in the late 70s.

Special guest Arlene Francis has handwriting samples taken from the panel.  The handwriting has been analyzed, and given the report for each one, the panel tries to figure out which one of them it refers to. Francis, the popular What’s My Line? panelist, will open October 7 in the Broadway play Beekman Place.  The show would close on October 31.
