Stan Berman from Brooklyn: “I’ve gone to more than 2,000 celebrity
parties, weddings & premieres…I was not invited to any of them”
Berman, a cab
driver by profession, became somewhat notorious as a gate crasher at major
events. Among his triumphs was attending
the 1961 inauguration of President Kennedy in the Kennedy family box. A few weeks after this appearance, he would
crash the Academy Awards presentation in Hollywood, and the Tony Awards in New
York.
Henry Makow from Ottawa, Canada: “I write a column for 35
newspapers…I give advice to parents”
The
eleven-year-old columnist writes “Ask Henry” for newspapers in the US and
Canada. A collection of his advice would
be published in book form later in 1962.
In the 1980s, an adult Makow would be responsible for the board game A Question of Scruples.
Special guest Michel de la Vega is
back, this time with a new trick. He hypnotizes Garry into a state of rigidity
and positions him between two chair backs.
