Frank Raines from Chattanooga,
Tennessee
has the unusual skill of being able to duplicate someone else’s
speech virtually simultaneously with the other person. He demonstrates that skill with Garry in the
opening while the panel is secluded. He can also mimic the conversation of two
people, as he later demonstrates with Bill and Carol. He can even duplicate foreign languages
despite not understanding what he’s saying.
Sgt. Arthur S Pugsley of the Boston Police Department: “I have 5
sons…They’re all policemen too”
Sgt.
Pugsley’s sons Arthur Jr, Charles, Ernest, Robert and Stanley all appear in
uniform. Sgt. Pugsley has two more sons
who are preparing to take the next police examination. A ten-year-old daughter is undecided about
her career path.
Special guest Jack E Leonard demonstrates a new game called “Ha!” in which a number of people lie on the
floor in a zig-zag pattern, resting their heads on the previous person’s
stomach. The first person says a single “ha”, the second says “ha ha” and so
forth down the chain, each person adding one more “ha,” inevitable leading to
uncontrolled giggles. The game is used
today in team building exercises and icebreakers. Deanne Barkley, Roger Peterson,
Pat McCormick, Irma Reichert, Bob Anderson and Diane Hoffacker from the show’s
staff take part in the game along with the panel.
