Joan Brechtel from Louisiana State University: “I talked for 26 hours and 1 minute without stopping”
Miss Brechtel took part in a “Talkathon” contest at a Baton Rouge radio station.  This would become a surprisingly competitive field in the months that followed, and as others put up longer times, Miss Brechtel took pride in the fact that she took no breaks of any kind.  In June, she would set a non-stop talking mark of just over 56 hours.

Mrs. LaRue Olson from Whitewood, South Dakota: “I have a live buffalo at the end of this leash”
Mrs. Olson’s husband and his trained buffalo “Pat” were a popular attraction on the rodeo circuit throughout the 50s and 60s.  His son and grandson would carry on the family tradition of rodeo entertainment.  LaRue puts Pat through his paces on stage.

Garry and the panel look at the “I’ve Got A Secret Family Album”, which includes a two-panel gag from Mad Magazine, a baby picture of Henry, and weirdly distorted pictures of the entire cast taken by the New York photographer Weegee.

Surprise Special Guest Louis Armstrong
"Satchmo" appears briefly to plug an “All-Star Jazz Show” to be hosted by Garry, live, the moment Secret is over.  The Dukes of Dixieland show up in the studio to play Garry and the panel off to the studio next door.  The special that follows includes such jazz greats as Armstrong, Lionel Hampton, Gerry Mulligan, George Shearing, Gene Krupa and vocalist Jaye P. Morgan.
