43 men and
women: “We live on Easy Street” (In Milford, Connecticut)
Living “on easy street”, as an idiom that means being
comfortably rich, dates to just before the turn of the 20th century.
Vince D’Autorio
from Newark: “I’m standing on my head”
The panel is blindfolded, of course. D’Autorio competed for the United States in
gymnastics in the 1948 and 1952 Olympics while in his thirties. He did not medal. He first made the Olympic team in 1940, but
the Games were not held in 1940 or 1944 due to World War II.
Special Guest Patrice Munsel has brought along music critic
Jay Harrison of the New York Herald Tribune.
The panel is asked to sing their questions, and Mr. Harrison will
critique their performances. Munsel was
an operatic soprano who had been the youngest singer ever to star at the Metropolitan
Opera. At the time of this appearance,
she has her own self-titled variety series on ABC.
