Mrs. Samuel Lawrence of Charleston, West Virginia: “I was the first Girl Scout in the USA (1912)”
In 1912, Mrs. Lawrence was 11-year-old Daisy Gordon, the niece of Girl Scouts of America founder Juliette Gordon Low, when she signed her aunt’s new membership register in Savannah, Georgia.  Low was inspired by the work of Robert Baden-Powell, the British founder of the Boy Scouts movement, to create a similar program for girls.  Mrs. Lawrence would continue to be active in promoting the Girl Scouts her entire life.
Special Guest Brian Donlevy has studio audience members answer his questions for him.
Donlevy an American actor of direct Irish decent (both parents) is an appropriate guest with the St Patrick’s Day Parade coming up this Saturday.  Donlevy was a busy actor from the 20s through the 60s. He usually played some variety of tough guy, whether as a lead in B-pictures or as a villain in more mainstream fare.

[Anthony Monteverdi] from NYC: “I’m going to sweep Fifth Avenue after the St Patrick’s Day Parade”
Well, somebody has to.

The show ends with a band of bagpipers and other musicians marching through the studio audience.
