Mrs Roxy Frost from Herington, Kansas: "I had a blind date with President Eisenhower in high school"
The future president was a standout football player at Abilene High School, which was visiting Herington for a game, probably in 1909. At a dance scheduled for after the game. several of the visiting players did not have dates, which is how Mrs Frost (who obviously wasn't "Mrs Frost" then) ended up accompanying "Big Ike" for the evening. Mrs Frost is a seventh grade teacher in Herington, and her secret was brought to the attention of the show's producers by a former student.
Unidentified contestant: "I tuned Liberace's piano"
Special guest Audrey Meadows: “I’m
wearing an article of clothing of each of the panelists (except Jayne)”
Audrey was the youngest of four children, which included older sister Jayne. They were the daughters of Episcopal missionaries working in China, and although Jayne was born overseas, Audrey was born in New York City during one of the family's trips home. The family permanently returned to the US when Audrey was five. Audrey is already known for playing Alice Kramden in sketches on Jackie Gleason's variety show, sketches which would eventually spin off into the classic sitcom The Honeymooners (1955-56). Because of a clause in her contract negotiated by her lawyer brother, she was the only one of the original cast to receive residuals for the endless reruns the series enjoyed.
